I've been thinking about Energy Manipulation lately in regards to some conversations about the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram and Liber Resh vel Helios. I think the secret of early magical work, besides getting your "sight", is to master Energy Manipulation. It's not easy, and it certainly sounds strange and eccentric, but it's part of the work.

        Think first about the Force in those old Star Wars films, then also consider the John Travolta movie, Phenomenon.

        Now let's tackle doing the LBR Pentagram. Start out in the dark if you like, imagine drawing the Pentagrams and the connecting Circle with a sparkler, now imagine the lines you draw don't fade. Think perhaps of a lazer, or a special effect from a Science Fiction movie. That's the kind of image or visualization you're working for. Work harder and harder to see those lines. You can say you're pretending they are there, or that you're imagining them. Heck, you can even refer to them as controlled hallucinations.

        But here's the secret: at first, yes!, they are just pretend, a bit of fancy; but over time they will be real. You will be manipulating a kind of energy. This also goes for visualizing the archangels in the LBR. At the very least imagine their robes in the proper directional colors.

        As to Liber Resh vel Helios: Again, in my opinion, the most important aspect of this is Energy Manipulation. In the sign of the Enterer, actually project your energy towards the sun. My prediction is that, before long, you'll feel more energy returning to you than what you project.

        Also, at the end of your rituals, try to absorb the energy you spent, perhaps even a little bit more. This should charge you like a battery and give you sufficient energy for future workings.
